Indiana Drops to Ninth on Moving Day

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Indiana Hoosiers women's golf team dipped to ninth place after the second round of action in the 2023 Big Ten Women's Golf Championship at the Fox Chapel Golf Club on Saturday.
The second round of the tournament was delayed slightly in the morning due to lightning in the area.
The Hoosiers (601; +33) continue to outplay No. 43 Michigan (602; +34) and No. 45 Purdue (603; +35). IU is seven strokes out of a top-five finish in the event.

• Graduate transfer Alexis Florio once again provided Indiana head coach Brian May with the team's lowest score of the round at 75 (+4). She was aided by birdies on No. 2 and No. 17.
• Junior Dominika Burdová hit the clubhouse with a final score of 76 (+5) and a birdie on No. 7.
• Sophomore Beatriz Junqueira shot a 77 (+6) in the second round with a birdie on No. 8.
• Senior Valerie Clancy birdied No. 18 to finish at 77 (+6) on Saturday.
• Sophomore Margaret Fernandez marked the third Hoosier to finish at 77 (+6) with her birdie coming on the second green.
• Senior Hanna Tanaka played a second-round scorecard of 81 (+10).
