
Mary Askew Named All-MPSF Honorable Mention

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Graduate student Mary Askew was named All-MPSF honorable mention, announced in the league's annual postseason honors.
Askew earns her first MPSF honors in her fifth and final season with the Hoosiers. She has had an impressive final campaign, playing and starting in 27 games. The Fremont, Calif. native has recorded 272 saves which is a single season best in her career and has 884 all-time saves, which ranks fourth all-time. Askew needs just eight saves to take over third place in career saves from Jessica Goldner (891).
She set a season-high 20 saves in a win over then No. 18 UC San Diego. She has recorded 10 or more saves in 15 appearances. In addition to her work in the cage, Askew is second on the team with 33 saves and has six assists along with five goals this season. She is the fifth player in IU's history to earn All-MPSF honors since joining the league in 2019.
The No. 5 seed Hoosiers will face off against No. 4 Cal in MPSF Tournament action on Friday, April 28 at 5:30 p.m. ET.
