No. 11 Indiana Falls to No. 6 Iowa in Big Ten Tournament

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – No. 11 Indiana women's tennis (14-11, 4-7 B1G) fell, 4-1, to the No. 6 seeded Iowa Hawkeyes (13-9) in the second round of the Big Ten Championships on Thursday evening at Schwartz Tennis Center.

The Hawkeyes earned the doubles point. Redshirt-juniors Mila Mejic and Alexandra Staiculescu won the first match 7-5, before Iowa claimed two victories in No. 1 doubles, 6-4, and No. 2 doubles, 7-5.

Redshirt-sophomore Lara Schneider started things off with a win at No. 1 singles. She earned the win in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, to tie the match.

The Hawkeyes picked up two more wins in No. 6 and 4 singles, winning both in straight sets. They would clinch the match with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 victory in No. 5 singles.
