GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Indiana men's golf team shot a 308 (+24) during a cold, rainy first round of the 2023 Big Ten Men's Golf Championship. The Hoosiers sit in sixth at the Galloway National Golf Course after 18 holes of play on Friday.

• Fifth-year senior Mitch Davis posted the lowest Hoosier scorecard at 3-over 74. He started his round with a birdie on No. 1.
• Senior Noah Gillard shot a 6-over 77 in the opening round with a birdie on No. 11.
• Fifth-year senior Thomas Hursey carded a pair of birdies (No. 6 and No. 8) on the front nine to finish the day at 7-over 78.
• Junior Drew Salyers struggled to close out his opening round and turned in a scorecard at 8-over 79.
• Senior Eric Berggren hit birdie conversions on No. 6 and No. 9 but finished the afternoon at 13-over 84.
