KEY MOMENTS
- Sophomore Sophia Sollie got the Hoosiers on the board first on a gentle toss into the net with 4:30 to play in the first quarter. Arizona State responded on the next possession as senior Lanna Debow skipped a shot into the net to take the lead back with 3:20 to play.
- The Sun Devils added two more goals in the first, taking a 3-2 advantage after one and led by as many as three goals midway through the second quarter.
- Indiana's goals in the second came from senior Katherine Hawkins and on a last second 5-meter attempt by junior Sophie Wazzan to trail 6-4 at the half.
- After allowing a goal in the early goings of the third, the Hoosiers responded with a pair of their own late in the frame. Sophomore Grace Hathaway dented the twine with 1:20 left and senior Kallie White, on a 6-on-5 with seven seconds remaining, cut the deficit to one, 7-6, going to the fourth.
- ASU added one before back-to-back Indiana goals from senior Robyn Greenslade and freshman Grace Klingler tied the game up at 8-all with 3:49 to play in regulation. Klingler went back-to-back as she gave IU its first lead with 2:45 left on the clock. But it would be ASU at the buzzer as its last second shot went in to send the game into overtime.
- The Hoosiers failed to score in the first three-minute overtime period, as ASU added two goals to lead 11-9. Indiana battled in the second overtime period, winning the sprint to start things off strong and White converted with 2:37 to go. But it would be the last offense IU would get in the game as the Sun Devils came away with the three-goal victory.
