Cross Country Ranked in USTFCCCA Preseason Poll

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Cross Country saw its women's squad ranked No. 7 while the men's team is ranked No. 8 in the Great Lakes preseason regional poll, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 2022-23 season that saw competition at the Big Ten Championships and NCAA Championships. At the Big Ten Championships the men finished third while the women came in seventh.
Returning for the Hoosiers is Austin Haskett and Camden Marshall who had top-25 finishes in the conference meet.
On the women's side, Mariah Wehrle finished 19th with Phoebe Bates at 49th and Katelyn Winton in at 72nd to round out the scoring.

Indiana opens the 2023 slate at the Redhawk Rumble on Friday, Sept. 1 hosted by Miami Ohio. The men's 8k race will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the women's 5k race at 10:10 a.m.
