Sydney Keld Named to 2023 NFHCA Division I Watchlist

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana redshirt senior Sydney Keld was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's (NFHCA) 2023 Division I Watchlist this afternoon.
She was one of 131 student-athletes to earn the distinction.
The list is intended to showcase the field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-American Teams.
In order to qualify for the distinction, students must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years (NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-American, All-Conference, Nexus Championship selection, AAU Junior Olympic Games selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and the student-athlete's head coach must be an active NFHCA member.
This list does not constitute a nomination or selection to the NFHCA All-Region or All-American teams. Student-athletes not listed on the NFHCA Watchlist may still be nominated for NFHCA All-Region and All-American recognition.
Sydney has taken six shots thus far this season. In 2022, she scored six goals and three assists while leading Division I Field Hockey with 12 defensive saves. She also earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors, was named to the NFHCA West Region Second Team.
