ROSEMONT, Ill. - For the second time in her career, Indiana junior setter Camryn Haworth was named the league's setter of the week, as announced by the Big Ten office on Monday (September 18th) afternoon.
The Fishers, Ind. was crucial in a weekend sweep and four victories at the 305 Challenge in South Florida including a 51-assist effort at Miami (FL).
Across the four contests, Haworth tallied 144 assists, 32 digs, 15 aces, 12 blocks and 10 kills. Among her assists on the weekend was a back set to senior outside hitter Morgan Geddes which marked the 2,000th assist of her IU career, making her the 11th player in program history to accomplish the feat.
She had a double-double in the win over Jacksonville (33 assists, 11 digs) and helped lead IU's offensive to a collective .278 hitting percentage on the weekend. She served 86 times in four games, recording 15 aces to just six errors.
On the season, Haworth has 423 assists, 96 digs and 33 aces. Her 33 service aces lead both the Big Ten and the NCAA. She has moved into the top-10 in program history (No. 8) in aces (124) and is just seven away from breaking the program's rally-era record.
She paces an IU team that is top-10 in the nation in total aces. The Hoosiers have 98 aces on the season including 37 across four matches in Miami.
No other player in program history has won the Big Ten Setter of the Week honor since the league instituted the award in the 2012 season. She is the first IU player to win a weekly award from the conference in back-to-back seasons since Ashley Benson (Defensive, 2009-10).
The Hoosiers won 10 games in the non-conference portion of the schedule for the first time since 2019 and have recorded 10+ wins along with a win over a Power Five opponent for just the fourth time since 2000.
Haworth and IU begin the 20-game Big Ten gauntlet on Wednesday (September 20th) evening with a matchup against Illinois inside Wilkinson Hall. The game will be broadcasted nationally on the Big Ten Network.
