TEAM
• Indiana is 4-0 all-time against Akron. That includes a 3-0 record in games played in Bloomington.
• Indiana's game captains were DL Andre Carter, LB Aaron Casey, OL Mike Katic and DB Noah Pierre.
• Akron won the coin toss and deferred. Indiana received the opening kick.
• DB Jordan Grier and TE Trey Walker each made their first career starts to bring the season total to 14 Hoosiers to make a first career start in 2023.
• The four-overtime game is the longest overtime game in program history. The previous long was two overtimes, which had occurred six times, last at Michigan State in 2022.
• Indiana is now 8-7 all-time in overtime games and has won five straight overtime games dating back to 2017.
• In non-conference overtime contests, IU is 2-1 with the only loss to Duke in the 2015 Pinstripe Bowl.
• Head coach Tom Allen is now 5-1 in overtime games in his career and has 13 wins in one-possession games (eight points or fewer).
• The interception return for a touchdown was the 43rd interception return for a touchdown in program history and the 65th all-time defensive score for Indiana.
• Indiana improved to 11-5 under Allen when it collects three-or-more takeaways in a game.

• Matched his career high of six tackles, which he did once before against Oklahoma State (11/20/21) in the 2021 season at Texas Tech.
Cam Camper | WR | Sr.
• Had four catches for 103 receiving yards to post his third career 100-yard receiving game. The previous two 100-yard efforts came in 2022 (Illinois, 156 yards; at Cincinnati, 126 yards).
• Camper is the 27th Hoosier all-time with three-or-more 100-yard receiving games and the first to do so since Ty Fryfogle (2017-21).
Aaron Casey | LB | R-Sr.+
• Posted a career-high 13 stops. His previous high was 11 which he did twice ––– against Ohio State in Week 1 (9/2) and at Rutgers in 2022 (10/22).
Phillip Dunnam | DB | So.
• Collected third interception of the season in the first quarter.
• Tied a career-high of eight tackles. He matched his total of eight stops against Indiana State (9/8) in Week 2.
• Had his first career tackle for loss with a combined stop behind the line with Philip Blidi in the first overtime.
Amare Ferrell | DB | Fr.
• Tied his career high of one tackle, which he also had against Ohio State (9/2) in Week 1.
Chris Freeman | K | R-Jr.
• Had his first career multi-field goal game, going 2-for-2 with makes from 39 and 19 yards.
• Posted a career-high of eight total points off the two field goals and two extra points.
JoJo Johnson | DB | R-So.
• Tied his career high of one tackle, he also had against Louisville (9/16) in Week 3.
Jordan Grier | DB | Jr.
• Made first career start and is one of 14 Hoosiers to make their first career start this season.
Louis Moore | DB | Sr.
• Logged his first career interception in the second quarter as part of a multi-interception game.
• Grabbed his second interception in the third quarter and returned it for his first career touchdown.
• He is the first Hoosier to record two interceptions in a game since Jamar Johnson against Tennessee in the Gator Bowl (1/2) in 2020.
Jamari Sharpe | DB | R-Fr.
• Tied his career high of three tackles. Previous high was three stops in Week 3 against Louisville (9/16).
Christian Turner | RB | R-Sr.+
• Scored on a 6-yard run in the second quarter. His second score as a Hoosier and the 15th of his career.
Trey Walker | TE | R-Sr.
• Made first career start and is one of 14 Hoosiers to make their first career start this season.
• Made first career reception on a 20-yard grab in the second quarter.
• Posted two catches for 32 yards.
