Indiana Falls to Fighting Illini, 1-0

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's soccer (6-7-2, 1-7-1 B1G) fell 1-0 against Illinois (7-7-2, 3-5-1) in their final home match of the regular season at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
KEY MOMENTS
• Illinois scored early in the 13th minute after finding an open net on what the Hoosiers thought should have been offside.
• Freshman midfielder Elle Britt saw two shots on target in the early minutes of play, but her chances couldn't get past the keeper. The Hoosiers saw another opportunity in the 17th minute from sophomore midfielder Kennedy Neighbors as her shot was saved at the top right of the net.
• The Illini took a 1-0 lead heading into the locker room, but played a dominate second half leading 11-0 in shots. Indiana saw their best opportunity freshman forward Layla Sirdah came close to tying it up with a goal in the 56th minute, but the officials would signal it offside.
