Cross Country Finishes Weekend at Wisconsin Pre-Nationals

MADISON, Wis. – The Indiana cross country teams competed at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals alongside 31 teams on Saturday morning at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course.
The men finished 21st in the 8k "A" race while the women placed seventh in the 6k "B" race.
Graduate student Skylar Stidam led the men in the competitive 8K "A" race. He finished 37th with a time of 23:23.5. Junior Martin Segurola also had a great race running a time of 23:47.5 just a few seconds off his personal best set at the Sean Earle Lakefront Invitational to finish 88th.
In the women's 6k "B" race, senior Mariah Wehrle finished in the top-20 with a 16th place finish and a time of 20:54.0. Sophomore Lily Myers (32nd, 21:14.4) and junior Katelyn Winton (47th, 21:31.2) placed in the top-50 for the Hoosiers. Indiana would finish seventh as a team in the "B" race.

The Hoosiers will prepare for the Big Ten Championships in two weeks at the Orange & Blue Golf Course in Savoy, Ill., hosted by the University of Illinois.
