• The No. 16/16 Indiana men's basketball team (3-0) earned an 87-71 victory on Saturday, Nov. 16, Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall over South Carolina.
• The Hoosiers shot 26-of-51 (51.0%) from the floor, 8-of-17 (47.1%) from the 3-point line, and 27-of-33 (81.8%) from the free throw line. The game marked the first time the Hoosiers slashed .500/.400/.800 in a game since March 3, 2024, against Maryland.
• The 27 free throw makes are the most for a Hoosier team since making the same number against Northwestern on Feb. 19, 2021.
• The Indiana defense held projected first-round draft pick Collin Murray-Boyles to two points, six rebounds, and one assist. He fouled out in 19 minutes of run after committing four turnovers.
• After yielding the first four points of the ballgame, Indiana rattled off the next 14 points to take a 14-4 lead at the 14:34 mark in the first half.
• Several members of the Miami Heat were in attendance for the game, including former Indiana greats Thomas Bryant and Kel'el Ware.
• Redshirt sophomore guard Myles Rice produced his highest scoring game as a Hoosier to date with a game-high 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor, 3-of-4 shots from behind the arc, and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. He added four rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
• Sophomore forward Mackenzie Mgbako scored 17 points to go along with seven rebounds and an assist. The Gladstone, N.J., native has posted at least 15 points in all three games and is averaging 22.X0 points per game on 71.4% shooting from the floor and 63.6% from the 3-point line this season.
• Sixth-year center Oumar Ballo ripped down a game-best 13 rebounds and matched a career high with six blocks. He is the first Hoosier since former All-American Trayce Jackson-Davis against Minnesota on Jan. 25, 2023, to reject at least six shots in a game. He added seven points and one steal.
• Sophomore guard Kanaan Carlyle added a season-best 12 points and two assists. The Stanford transfer knocked down two 3-pointers.
• Junior forward Malik Reneau scored 13 points and pulled down three rebounds.
• Fifth-year senior guard Trey Galloway tallied 11 points on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting from the free throw line and two assists. He has 19 assists to just five turnovers this season.
• Freshman wing Bryson Tucker secured four points, three rebounds, and one steal off the Hoosier bench.
• Senior forward Luke Goode pulled down three rebounds to go along with one assist and one block.
• Up Next: The Hoosiers will host the UNC Greensboro Spartans at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, November 21 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The game will be broadcast on FS1.
