BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– As Indiana Football's Week 14 matchup against rival Purdue on Saturday (November 30) approaches, seniors James Carpenter, Zach Horton and Myles Price addressed the media inside the Don Croftcheck Football Team Room on Tuesday (November 26).

On what the biggest rivalry game he was a part of prior to this…
JC: The past couple years in FBS I think it was really App State, but for me I feel like it's nothing compared to what it is here. Excited for this one (the Purdue game), kind of the first true rivalry game I've been a part of. We're really excited.
On learning about the Indiana-Purdue Rivalry…
JC: I'm slowly starting to realize how important this game is. When I first got here in January, I didn't really know who the rivalry was. I didn't realize how important this game was. I haven't heard any stories; I just know that there is some pretty deep hatred between the two fanbases. That's what college football is all about. We're pumped for this game. We're excited.
On getting used to the midwestern traditions in college football…
JC: It took a little bit, it's really just kind of hearing it from guys that have been here. I've talked with Mike Katic a lot and he's kind of told us a lot about the rivalry, about the game, how important it is. We've had alums come here and the first they talk about is Purdue and how we need to get the Bucket back and stuff like that. It's really just kind of hearing it word of mouth from other people. The more people I talk to, the more I see out there, I really feel it now.

On the biggest rivalry he's played in…
ZH: It's going to have to go back to high school for me. At (James Madison) with my first season being FCS there and we bumped up to FBS. I never had a real set (rivalry) game. I have to go back to high school. My senior year, I would assume. It's been a while since being in a game like that with meaning like that.
On preparing for rivalry games…
ZH: The same thing I do for every game. Like (Cignetti) preached, 'it's an important game because it's the next one.' With it being the bucket game, you have something a little extra in your head.
On learning the importance of the Old Oaken Bucket game…
ZH: Since I stepped on campus, and even in recruitment, they talked about how much they hated Purdue. It's really exciting to be a part of that.

On his mindset going into the rivalry game against Purdue...
MP: Just treat it like any other game. Throw the records away. Nothing matters but getting a dub at the end of the day.
On bouncing back from the Ohio State loss...
MP: Just having better preparation. (On) Monday, we found everything we needed to clean up and then it's on to the next week.
On what he's seen on film from Purdue thus far...
MP: He's (Dillon Thieneman) definitely a good player, you can see it on film. He plays hard, they play hard. Good special teams, they do a lot of good things.
