ATHENS, Ga. — Indiana women's tennis competed in two days of the ITA Sectional Championships at the University of Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Sophomore Nicole Teodosescu and redshirt-senior Lara Schneider saw the court on day one of sectionals. Teodosescu advanced to the open Round of 16 after defeating her opponent in three sets (5-7, 6-4, 6-4). Schneider fell in two sets in her first opponent.

On day two of sectionals, Teodosescu fell in straight sets to Georgia's Guillermina Grant. Schneider defeated her next opponent in the consolation Round of 16 and advanced to the Quarterfinals before falling in three sets.

Freshman Nicole Sifuentes and sophomore Elisabeth Dunac opened play in the Doubles open quarterfinals round. They fell in straight sets to Georgia duo, 6-2, 6-1.

Zeynep Erman (UC) def. Lara Schneider (IU), 7-5, 3-6, 6-2

Doubles: Open Quarterfinals
Grant/Mert (UGA) def. Sifuentes/Dunac (IU), 6-2, 6-1
