Indiana at Nebraska

• The (RV/-) Indiana Men's Basketball team (8-3, 1-1 B1G) dropped its first conference contest of the season against Nebraska, 85-68, on Friday (Dec. 13) evening at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
• Nebraska opened the game on a 13-3 run to force an IU timeout at the 16:50 mark of the first half – just over three minutes into the game. The Hoosiers answered with a 17-6 run over the next five minutes of game time to completely flip the script and take their first lead of the game (20-19).
• The second half deficit got to nine - 49-58 – before redshirt sophomore guard Myles Rice took over. IU tied it at 64-all on a bucket from sophomore guard Kanaan Carlyle at the 9:57 mark of the second half.
• The Hoosiers had 12 fast break points to the Huskers' four. IU scored 24 of its points in the paint and also converted on 14 free throws from the charity stripe.
• Junior forward Malik Reneau provided 12 points and three rebounds on the night.
• He's scored in double figures in five-straight games for the Hoosiers. It's the longest stretch of his career scoring 10+ since doing it in six-straight contests from Dec. 21, 2023 to Jan. 12, 2024.
• Sixth-year center Oumar Ballo put up eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds. It was the fifth time this season that he's grabbed double-digit boards.
• Redshirt sophomore guard Myles Rice scored 20 points, on 8-for-13 shooting, to lead the way offensively for the Hoosiers. It was his third 20-point contest of the season.
• Rice recorded a season high four steals. He is the third different IU player with at least three steals in a game this season. It is the most steals by IU player since March 6, 2024 at Minnesota (Trey Galloway – 5).
• Fifth-year senior guard Trey Galloway contributed 10 points and three assists in Friday's contest. All three of his made field goals came from beyond the arc.
• It was his fourth double-digit scoring contest of the season. It was Galloway's 22nd time scoring in double figures in a Big Ten contest during his five-year career.
• Freshman forward Bryson Tucker scored five points and grabbed five rebounds.
• Sophomore forward Mackenzie Mgbako was limited to just 13 minutes of action due to early foul trouble. He scored two points but also grabbed five rebounds.
• Senior forward Luke Goode recorded nine points on the evening with all nine points coming on 3-point field goals. He matched his season high with four rebounds.
• Sophomore guard Kanaan Carlyle scored two points and dished out a pair of assists.
• Fifth-year senior guard Anthony Leal played 10 minutes off the bench.
• Up Next: The Hoosiers step back out of Big Ten action to take on Chattanooga on Saturday, December 21st at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Tip is set for Noon in Bloomington.
