Indiana Goes 2-0 on the Day with Wins Over FAMU & Troy

TROY, Ala. ––– In an entire team effort, Indiana Softball picked up two wins in the Trojan Classic, defeating Florida A&M 8-0 in six innings, and Troy, 8-1, on Friday at the Troy Softball Complex.
With the pair of wins, Indiana improves to 6-1 on the season.

KEY MOMENTS
• In the FAMU game, Indiana opened the scoring on a two-run home run over the central field wall from junior Brianna Copeland to go up 2-0.
• Senior Macy Montgomery had a fantastic fourth inning against FAMU, recording all three outs for half inning on strikeouts swinging.
• Junior Taylor Minnick tripled in the bottom of the fifth inning and hit two RBI in the process in the FAMU game.
• In the Troy game, freshman Alex Cooper stole home in the third inning.
• Against Troy, junior Sarah Stone had an RBI single to center field, scoring Copeland in the third inning.
• Not long after Stone, freshman Tristian Thompson had a bases-clearing double, racking up three RBI in the third inning against Troy.
