No. 13 Hoosiers Complete Kalbus Invite With Win Over Pomona-Pitzer

IRVINE, Calif. – Sophomores Sophia Sollie and Grace Hathaway each scored two goals as No. 13 Indiana beat Pomona-Pitzer, 7-6, in the 13th place game of the 2024 Barbara Kalbus Invitational.

KEY MOMENTS
- In a tight first quarter, the Hoosiers (14-2) got goals from sophomore Grace Klingler and junior Grace Hathaway to take a 2-1 edge after one. Hathaway deposited her second goal of the afternoon with 3:54 remaining on the clock in the second as Indiana took a 3-2 lead at the break.
- Junior Sophia Sollie added two goals in the third quarter along with one from senior Kallie White as Indiana pulled ahead by two, 6-4, at the end of the frame.
- The Sagehens pulled within one early in the fourth quarter, but the Hoosiers took advantage of a powerplay on a goal from graduate student Zoe Crouch with 4:27 on the clock.
- Indiana was able to hold off Pomona-Pitzer in the final 90 seconds of action including a huge save from sophomore goalie Jasmine Higgs to seal the win.

- Sollie and Hathaway each had a pair of goals for the Hoosiers in the win.
- Six players tallied two points in the effort, with junior Skylar Kidd leading the way with two assists.
- Crouch and Hathaway each drew two exclusions.
- Klingler added a goal, assists and a team-high two steals.
- Higgs made 11 saves in the cage for IU and had a steal.
- Indiana improves to 3-1 all-time against the Sagehens and took both meetings between the two teams this year.
