• Indiana (17-13, 9-10) defeated Minnesota (18-12, 9-10), 70-58, on Wednesday night in Minneapolis. The Hoosiers have won eight-straight matchups with the Gophers and 10 of the last 11.
• Indiana shot 30-of-55 (54.5%) from the field and held Minnesota to 22-of-57 (38.6%) from the field and 5-of-26 (19.2%) from beyond the arc.
• IU registered an assist on the first 21 made field goals of the game and finished with a season-high 28 assists. The assist total marked the most by a Hoosier team on the road since posting 29 against Western Illinois on Nov. 26, 2005. The last B1G program to chart at least 28 assists in a road conference game was Purdue at Ohio State on Feb. 7, 1998.
• The Hoosiers outscored the Gophers by a tally of 48-32 in points in the paint.
• Sophomore center Kel'el Ware recorded his 13th double-double of the season with 26 points on 12-of-16 shooting and 11 rebounds. He added three assists, three blocks, and one steal.
• The Oregon transfer is one of four Division I players this season to post a stat line of at least 25 points, 10 rebounds, three blocked shots, and two made 3-pointers.
• Ware has compiled seven 20-point, 10-rebound games this season, the second most in the Big Ten.
• Freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako scored 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting and 3-of-4 from beyond the arc while adding two rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal.
• Over his last six contests, Mgbako is averaging 17.0 points while shooting 47.2% (24-of-72) from the floor and 42.9% (15-of-35) from the 3-point line. He has registered 15-plus points in four of his last six outings.
• Senior guard Trey Galloway logged his first career double-double with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 11 assists, five steals, four rebounds, and one block.
• The Culver Academies graduated is one of four Hoosiers to produce at least three games with 11-plus assists in a career. He joins Isiah Thomas, Jamal Meeks, and Michael Lewis. He is tied for second (Bobby Wilkerson, 1975-76) on the IU single-season Big Ten assists list with 105. He trails only Quinn Buckner (106) from the 1974-75 season.
• Galloway is one of three major conference players to produce a 10-point, 10-assist, 5-steal game this season.
• Sophomore forward Malik Reneau notched eight points on 3-of-6 shooting, two assists, one rebound, and one steal.
• Fifth-year senior forward Anthony Walker logged six points, one assist, and one rebound.
• Sixth-year senior guard Xavier Johnson recorded two points, five assists, one rebound, and one steal.
• Senior guard Anthony Leal posted four assists, three rebounds and two steals.
• Freshman guard Gabe Cupps tallied one steal in 13 minutes of game time.
• Junior forward Peyton Sparks recorded one rebound in five minutes of run.
• Sophomore forward Kaleb Banks and sophomore guard CJ Gunn each played the final minute of the game.
• Indiana will next host Michigan State in the regular season finale at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 10 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The game will serve as the annual Senior Day game.
