Sollie’s Five Goals Propels No. 15 Indiana Past No. 17 SJSU

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Junior Sophia Sollie tied a season-high five goals as No. 15 Indiana picked up a 10-5 win over No. 17 San Jose State at SRAC Pool on Saturday.

KEY MOMENTS
- Sophomore goalie Jasmine Higgs started the game off with five first quarter saves while Sollie and graduate student Zoe Crouch chipped in a pair of goals to get the Hoosiers (19-7, 1-4 MPSF) off to a 2-1 start.
- Junior Skylar Kidd started the second off with a sprint win and got her name in the scoring column with 7:05 on the clock to push the edge to 3-1. Indiana tacked on two more in the frame and led 5-3 at halftime.
- The Hoosier defense blanked the Spartans (9-12, 0-5 MPSF) in the third quarter as Sollie added her third and fourth goal of the day while senior Kallie White also netted one for an 8-3 lead after three.
- Crouch and Sollie added IU's fourth quarter goals as it pulled away and snapped a four-game skid.
NOTES
- Sollie tied her season-high five goals in Saturday's win. She also put up five in a victory over No. 24 San Diego State. She takes over as the program's leading scorer with 53 goals.
- Crouch also posted her 16th multi-goal game of the year with a pair in the net.
- Higgs finished up her strong start in goal with 13 saves and two steals in the win.
- Kidd won three sprints on the afternoon and added a goal along with a team-high three assists.
- Indiana collected 13 steals, including four from White. Klingler also had a mutli-steal game with two. White also led the way with three earned exclusions.
