BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Senior Kallie White had a hat trick as 6-seed Indiana got past 7-seed San Jose State, 10-9, in the elimination game of the MPSF Championships on Saturday at Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center.

KEY MOMENTS

Junior Sophia Sollie scored IU's only goal in the first quarter as the two teams stayed even through one, 1-1. The Spartans went up by two goals in the second, as Indiana (21-9) rallied in the final 3-plus minutes of the frame.
Klingler went back-to-back to bolster the Hoosiers' offense and keep the game within one, at the 2:11 mark. She assisted on a goal by senior Sophie Wazzan to knot the game at 4-4 all at halftime.
The two teams traded goals in the third quarter with IU's scoring coming from a pair of goals from White and another from sophomore Louisa Downes. In a 7-7 tie going to the fourth, Downes pulled the Hoosiers ahead at the 5:37 mark.
The Spartans (9-16) responded just over a minute later but the difference would be the pair of goals by White with just over four minutes remaining and a Wazzan power play goal with 2:28 to play.

NOTES

White led the Hoosiers in scoring with a hat trick, her third of the season and eighth multi goal effort from the senior.
Wazzan, Kllinger and Downes all recorded two goals each in the victory.
Graduate student Zoe Crouch dished out a team-high three assists.
Indiana picked up 10 steals, with four players each grabbing a pair in the win.
Goalies Audrey Cox and Jasmine Higgs both recorded two quarters in goal, combining for 10 saves.
The Hoosiers have now won six-in-a-row over San Jose State, a streak that dates back to the 2021 season.
