SUNDAY, JUNE 23
Two Hoosiers were added to the U.S. Olympic Team, USA Swimming announced Sunday night during its final session.
- IU associate head swimming coach Cory Chitwood was named an assistant coach for the open water national team, his first appointment to an Olympic Team.
- Blake Pieroni was the final addition to the 26-man roster as the sixth-place finisher in the 200-meter freestyle. He will represent Team USA on the 4x200-meter freestyle relay.
- Additionally, incoming transfer Matt King was named to the Olympic team as the sixth-place finisher in the 100-meter freestyle. King will begin training at IU in the fall following his Olympic debut.
Finals:
The penultimate night of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis was light but special for Indiana swimming and diving.
- Josh Matheny and Anna Peplowski were officially named to the U.S. Olympic Team on Saturday. More details here.
- Kristina Paegle dropped a program record 24.74 in the women's 50-meter freestyle semifinal, her second personal best of the day. Paegle finished ninth, making her the first alternate in Sunday's final.
- The final session of the U.S. Olympic Trials will start at 8 p.m. ET Sunday. USA Swimming will announce its complete Olympic roster, including its coaching staff, following the women's 50 free and men's 1,500 free finals.
- Bloomington native Kristina Paegle posted one of 10 times under 25 seconds in the 50-meter freestyle with a personal best 24.80. Paegle advances to Saturday night's final as the No. 9 seed.

FRIDAY, JUNE 21
Finals: Three swimmers with ties to the Indiana University swimming and diving program competed Friday night at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium.
- Transfer Owen McDonald, who has trained at IU since announcing his move, finished fifth in the 200-meter IM final. McDonald's 1:57.51 set a personal best, dropping two seconds off his previous PR coming into the week (1:59.71).
- Finn Brooks finished 11th in the 100-meter butterfly with a 52.16. He established a personal best 51.90 in the prelim.
- Another incoming transfer, Matt King finished third in the 50-meter freestyle, just short of Olympic qualification. His 21.70 was a personal best. King will begin training in Bloomington starting this coming fall.
- Finn Brooks dropped a personal best 51.90, 45 hundredths faster than his previous best, to reach Friday night's semifinal as the No. 6 seed.
- Brooks and Owen McDonald (200 IM final) will swim during Friday night's session, set to begin at 8 p.m. ET.

THURSDAY, JUNE 20
Finals: Lilly King captured Olympic qualification in a second event Thursday night at U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
- King finished second in the women's 200-meter breaststroke in a time of 2:21.93. The three-time Olympian split 36.50 in the final 50 to overtake Alex Walsh and finish in front of her by 45 hundredths of a second.
- Per NBC, King will become the first U.S. swimmer to compete in the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststroke in three straight Olympics.
- Moments after King's race finished, former IU swimmer James Wells proposed to King on her way to the warm down pool. King accepted and proudly showed off her engagement ring to a loud ovation from the Indianapolis crowd during the 200 breast medal ceremony.
- Owen McDonald qualified for Friday night's 200 IM final, finishing the semi in 1:58.21 - nearly a second faster than his prelim time.
- Four Hoosiers will race during Friday morning's prelims, set to begin at 11 a.m. ET: Finn Brooks, Brendan Burns and Dylan Smiley in the men's 100-meter butterfly and Mariah Denigan in the 800-meter freestyle.
- McDonald posted the No. 7 time in the morning with a 1:59.13 and will swim again during the evening session.
- Lilly King can earn her second event at the 2024 Paris Games should she finish second or better in Thursday night's 200-meter breaststroke final. King won her semifinal Wednesday in 2:22.45, capturing the No. 2 seed.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19
Finals: Josh Matheny finished second in the men's 200-meter breaststroke, all but punching his ticket to Paris Wednesday night in Lucas Oil Stadium.
- Matheny touched in 2:08.86 behind Penn's Matt Fallon (2:06.54). With the result, Matheny is eligible for selection to the U.S. Olympic Team and will likely receive that selection later this week.
- Matheny had just missed out on Olympic qualification in Sunday's 100-meter breaststroke, finishing third in a tight race.
- Lilly King reached the final of the women's 200-meter breaststroke in 2:22.45, looking to lock up her second event in Paris. King fell behind Alex Walsh at the 150-meter mark but closed in 36.28 to come from behind and touch in first by 36 hundredths.
- King will be the No. 2 seed in Thursday's final, only behind Kate Douglass (2:21.23).
- Mariah Denigan was honored at Lucas Oil Stadium as a member of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team with two other open water swimmers.
- A swimming-meet-record 22,209 spectators attended Wednesday night's session in Indianapolis.
- Next session: Ten Hoosiers will swim in three preliminary events on Thursday. The morning session kicks off at 11 a.m. ET.
- King is the No. 2 qualifier in the 200 breast semi, swimming a 2:25.61 during Wednesday morning heats.
- Josh Matheny is slated to swim the men's 200 breast final Wednesday night, coming in as the No. 3 seed. Matheny can clinch an Olympic berth with a win, while a second-place finish will likely earn a selection by USA Swimming.
- Already qualified for Paris in open water swimming, Mariah Denigan will swim the 1,500-meter freestyle final Wednesday night. The evening session will kick off at 8 p.m. ET.

TUESDAY, JUNE 18
Finals:
Josh Matheny has given himself another shot at Olympic qualification with his performances in the men's 200-meter breaststroke Tuesday, qualifying for Wednesday's final.
- Matheny will enter the 200 breast final as the No. 3 seed after winning the first semifinal heat in 2:08.79.
- Matheny had a heartbreaking result in the 100-meter event on Sunday, finishing third — just outside of top-two qualification.
- Next Session: Wednesday prelims will begin at 11 a.m. ET as Lilly King helps kick things off in the women's 200-meter breaststroke. King secured her third Olympics on Monday in the 100 breast ands enter the 200 as the No. 2 seed.
- Josh Matheny — who finished third in the 100-meter breaststroke on Sunday — captured the No. 2 qualifying spot in the 200 breast semifinal with a 2:09.59.
- Mariah Denigan, already qualified for the Olympics as an open water swimmer, finished seventh in the 1,500 free with a 16:22.28 to advance to Wednesday's final.
- Next session: Matheny and four more Hoosiers will race in semifinal heats Tuesday night. The finals session kicks off at 8 p.m. ET.

MONDAY, JUNE 17
Finals: Lilly King qualified for the 2024 Paris Games, winning the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:05.43.
- King will compete in her third Olympic Games. She is the first IU female swimmer to reach three Olympics.
- King also joins Amanda Beard and Brendan Hansen as the third American swimmer to make three Olympic teams in breaststroke.
- Anna Peplowski finished fifth in the women's 200-meter freestyle final with a time of 1:57.04.
- Blake Pieroni took sixth in the men's 200 free in 1:46.09, tying his best time since 2018.
- Both Peplowski and Pieroni finished outside of 4x200-meter relay Olympic qualification (top four) but are expected to reach the final Team USA rosters as top-six finishers when the final 26-man team are announced.
- Lilly King is the top qualifier in Monday night's 100-meter breaststroke final with a time 85 hundredths quicker than the No. 2 seed.
- Blake Pieroni and Anna Peplowski will automatically qualify for the Paris Games with top-four finishes in the men's and women's 200-meter freestyle final, respectively. The top two finishers will represent Team USA individually, while the No. 3 and No. 4 finishers would compete on the 4x200-meter freestyle relay in Paris. The Nos. 5 and 6 finishers could also qualify, but USA Swimming would not select those athletes until later in the week.
- Next session: Monday, June 17. The third night of finals will start a 8 p.m. ET. Fans can watch on NBC and Peacock to see if the Hoosiers punch their tickets to Paris.

SUNDAY, JUNE 16
Finals: Lilly King took one giant step close to Paris, dominating the 100-meter breaststroke semifinal.
- King's 1:05.57 was the only time under 1:06 and finished nearly a second faster than the field. The two-time Olympian is the No. 1 seed in Monday's final, looking to clinch her third Olympics.
- Blake Pieroni and Anna Peplowski also reached finals in the men's and women's 200-meter freestyle events, respectively. Pieroni finished fifth in 1:46.52. Peplowski finished second in her semifinal with a 1:57.55 but fell to seventh after the second heat.
- Josh Matheny finished third in the 100-meter breaststroke, just seven hundredths out of the top two needed to qualify and 15 hundredths off the leader. Matheny will have another chance to reach his first Olympics as one of the favorites in the 200-meter breaststroke.
- King earned the top seed in Sunday night's 100-meter breaststroke semifinal with a 1:06.05 in prelims - over half a second faster than the field.
- Two-time Olympian Blake Pieroni posted his best 200-meter freestyle performance since his personal best 1:45.93 in 2013. Pieroni had not been under 1:47 since 2021 trials and announced his retirement in 2022 before recently returning to training at Indiana. The top six finishers from the 200 free final are expected to make the Olympics. Pieroni came into the meet as the No. 15 seed with a time of 1:47.02.
- Anna Peplowski swam the No. 4 200-meter freestyle time in the morning, going 1:57.37. Peplowski has been as quick as 1:56.99.

SATURDAY, JUNE 15
Finals: Josh Matheny advanced to Sunday's 100-meter breaststroke final, winning his semifinal heat in 59.42.
- Matheny holds steady as the No. 2 seed going into the final, his 59.42 eight hundredths of a second behind top qualifier Charlie Swanson. Matheny went 59.34 in the prelim. No. 3 seed Nic Fink went 59.46 in the semifinal, and 10 swimmers posted times under one minute in a tightly-packed field.
- Anna Peplowski finished sixth in the 400-meter freestyle with a personal best time of 4:09.20. Peplowski came into the meet as the No. 15 seed in the 400 free. She'll swim her top event, the 200-meter freestyle, starting Sunday morning.
- Cody Miller placed 15th in the 100 breast with a time of 1:00.63.
- Josh Matheny posted the second-best time in the 100-meter breaststroke with a 59.34, just one tenth of a second behind top qualifier Nic Fink.
- Despite coming in as the No. 15 seed, Anna Peplowski finished tied-for-seventh in the 400-meter freestyle heats to sneak into the final.
- Cody Miller also qualified for the 100 breast semifinal, placing 12th in 1:00.45.
