Hoosiers Set Dates for Fall Exhibitions

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Baseball team will play two exhibitions against division one opponents, the allowed amount by the NCAA, this fall against Louisville (Sept. 22) and Cincinnati (Oct. 5) as part of its practice schedule. The Hoosiers will also play their Fall World Series, to be announced at a later date.
IU's scrimmage with the Cardinals will take place at Jim Patterson Stadium in Louisville at 1:00 PM on September 22nd and will be open to the general public. Head coach Jeff Mercer and company will host the Cincinnati Bearcats on a Saturday afternoon (Oct. 5, 1:00 PM) at Bart Kaufman Field with the general public allowed at the contest.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 33-win season that culminated with a second-straight bid to the NCAA Tournament. Despite losing productive players to the MLB Draft, IU returns a number of key contributors including All-American outfielder Devin Taylor and All-Big Ten infielders Josh Pyne and Tyler Cerny.
Information on IU's three-game Fall World Series will be released at a later date.
