• The (RV/-) Indiana Men's Basketball team (13-4, 4-2 B1G) had its five-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday night (Jan. 11). IU dropped a Big Ten road contest to Iowa, 85-60.
• IU got a boost from its bench on Saturday night. The Hoosiers' reserves provided 29 points with offensive contributions from four different players (Carlyle – 9, Tucker – 9, Hatton – 8, Leal – 3).
• It was the most bench points for the Hoosiers since scoring 32 (Tucker – 16, Carlyle – 14, Goode – 2) in the win over Minnesota on Dec. 9, 2024.
• Sixth-year senior center Oumar Ballo contributed 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds. It was his fourth game this year with at least 13 boards.
• Ballo scored in double figures for the fourth-straight game. It's his longest stretch of consecutive contests with 10+ points since doing so between March 9th and March 21st (4 games) last season at Arizona.
• Ballo recorded his 38th career double-double and his fourth of the season. He's had a double-double in three of the last four Big Ten contests.
• Redshirt sophomore guard Myles Rice led the Hoosiers with a team high 12 points. He also dished out five assists and grabbed one rebound.
• Rice scored in double figures for the 10th time this season and the fourth time in the last five games. In his career, he's had 37 games with at least 10 points.
• Freshman forward Bryson Tucker scored nine points off the bench for IU. It's his seventh game of the season with at least nine points.
• Fifth-year senior guard Anthony Leal provided three points, five assists and two rebounds in reserve.
• Sophomore guard Kanaan Carlyle scored nine points off the bench. It was his highest scoring output since a win over Minnesota (14 - Dec. 9, 2024).
• Senior center Langdon Hatton scored a season best eight points on a perfect shooting night (3-for 3 FG, 2-for-2 FT) in Iowa City. He also chipped in three rebounds.
• He played 16 minutes on the evening, the second time this year he's provided at least 10 minutes in reserve. It was the most run of play he's had in a Big Ten game this year.
• Sophomore forward Mackenzie Mgbako had six points and six rebounds in 16 minutes of action.
• Senior forward Luke Goode had three points for the Hoosiers.
• Fifth-year senior guard Trey Galloway provided an assist for the Hoosiers.
• Up Next: IU will have a quick turnaround before facing Illinois on Tuesday (Jan. 14) evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. on Peacock.
