Meet Central: IUTF Travels to Crossroads of America Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana track and field program will hit the road this weekend to compete in the Crossroads of America Invitational. The meet is set to begin on Friday, January 24 and will conclude on Saturday, January 25.
The Hoosiers will compete against 16 teams over the weekend including Butler, Cincinnati, IU Indianapolis, Indiana State, UIndy, Louisville, Marian, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, Saint Louis, and Southeast Missouri State competing across 34 events. The women's weight throw will start the weekend at 5 p.m.
Indiana has entered 45 athletes in a combined 28 events on the men's and women's side.

THE HOOSIER LINEUP
Sprints and Hurdles:
Junior John Colquitt will start the track events for the Hoosiers in the 60-meter hurdle trials.
The men's 60-meter dash will include freshmen Christian Woodson alongside senior Trelee Banks-Rose and Tamer Saleh. Symone Adams, Lyric Steele, and Kristina Vincic are entered on the women's side.
The 200 meter is stacked on both sides for the Hoosiers. Adams, along with freshman Kiera Davis, junior Jania Hodges, senior Morgan Snow, and Vincic will look to set the tone for the Hoosiers. Banks-Rose, Novo Onovwerosuoke, Saleh and Woodson will race on the men's side.
Continuing with the sprinters, freshman Kate Henselmeier, junior Kylee Poulton and Snow are entered in the 400 meters. Freshman duo Cameron Mullens and Daquan Tate will look to take the event on the men's side.
Distance & Mid-Distance:
Sophomores Ryann Parrish, Amelia Dodds, and Cambell Wamsley are set to run the 600 meters with freshmen Nola Somers Glenn. CJ Martin will look to hold down the men's side of the event.
The Hoosiers will have plenty of competition in the 800-meter run. Freshmen Veronica Hargrave and Catie McCabe will look to get out fast in the event, with support from freshman Matt Kim, sophomore Andrew Mangum, and junior Keefer Soehngen on the men's side.
Mary Eubank will compete in the 3000-meter run.
In the 4x400-meter relay, Indiana will compete two quartets on the women's side and one on the men's.
Jumps:
Junior Kelly Moran will compete in the long jump and senior Mahogany Jenkins enters the pit in the triple jump. Jenkins will be one of three Hoosiers in the high jump along with freshman Josie Page and junior Taylor Schoonveld.
On the men's side, the trio of freshman Vince Davero, sophomore Max Grangier, and junior Alex Smith will compete in the long jump, while sophomore Deepak Laungani will compete in the high jump.
Pole Vault:
Tyler Carrel returns to the runway along with talented freshman Peyton McQuinn as they enter among a competitive group.
Throws:
The throws group looks to continue their strong start heading into the weekend events.
Freshman Hannah Alexander will be joined by sophomore Bridget Beyer in the weight throw. Junior Makayla Hunter will look to win back-to-back weeks in the shot put event.
The men's squad will also see freshmen Dane Sebert and Seth Brosseau throw the shot.
