KEY MOMENTS
- Indiana (10-4, 2-1 B1G) opened play on four points from junior guard Yarden Garzon before UCLA (15-0, 4-0 B1G) went on a 14-3 run to limit the team from the floor. Despite an early deficit, a 9-0 run sparked by a layup from junior forward Lilly Meister propelled the Hoosiers to finish the first frame trailing by just two, 18-16, and 6-for-12 shooting.
- The home team remained scoreless until 2:56 remaining in the second period when Garzon took advantage of her opportunity from the charity stripe to score a lone point. Senior forward Karoline Striplin hit a pair of buckets as the only field goals in the frame including one at the buzzer to help the Hoosiers gain momentum to carry into the second half.
- The Hoosier offense found their pace in the third quarter, with junior guard Shay Ciezki and graduate guard Chloe Moore-McNeil both going a perfect 3-for-3 from the field. A 7-0 run highlighted by a step back triple from Moore-McNeil would help Indiana close the gap to eight points before the Bruins found another push.
- Indiana continued to challenge UCLA until the end, narrowly winning the offensive battled, 18-17. It came within single digits with 2:29 to go on a Ciezki and-1 opportunity but would get no closer.
