Opening Tip
• Indiana University opens its 126th season of competition in men's basketball with an exhibition matchup against RV/-- Baylor at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 26, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
• The Bears are led by head coach Scott Drew, who is set to begin his 24th season in Waco. BU brings in seven total transfers in fifth-year senior guard Obi Agbim (Wyoming), junior center Juslin Bodo Bodo (High Point), senior center Caden Powell (Rice), senior guard Michael Rataj (Oregon State), senior guard Daniel Skillings (Cincinnati), fifth-year senior guard JJ White (Omaha), and sophomore guard Isaac Williams IV (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi). The portal class ranks 22nd according to 247Sports.
• Baylor also landed a highly-touted freshman class including consensus five-star forward Tounde Yessoufou and Andre Iguodala II, son of four-time NBA Champion and 2015 NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala.

• Indiana and Baylor will meet up for the second time in program history on the hardwood. The only previous matchup came in a non-conference clash on Dec. 13, 1980.
• IU won the contest by a score of 80-47 in Bloomington behind 23 points and seven rebounds from All-American Landon Turner.
• The Hoosiers would end the 1980-81 season as national champions. Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas scored a game-high 23 points in the title game victory over North Carolina.

• Indiana handled business in the season-opening exhibition matchup against Marian with a 107-46 victory on Oct. 17 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• Redshirt senior forward Tucker DeVries and freshman forward Trent Sisley combined for 46 points on 15-of-19 shooting from the floor, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. Senior forward Sam Alexis produced a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in 18 minutes.

• The Hoosiers hold a record of 85-28 in Indianapolis. IU has won seven-straight regular season contests in the capital city dating back to an overtime thriller over Notre Dame (80-77) on Dec. 16, 2017, in the Crossroads Classic.
• Indiana will square off with Louisville a 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 6 as part of the CareSource Invitational at Gainbridge Fieldhouse later this season.
• The 2026 NCAA Final Four will be held in Lucas Oil Stadium this season, the ninth time the city will have played host to the prestigious event.

Veteran voice of the Hoosiers Don Fischer enters his 53rd season as the play-by-play voice of Indiana Men's Basketball. During that time, he's called more than 2,000 games and four NCAA Men's Basketball Championship games. He's been honored as the National Sports Media Association's Indiana Sportscaster of the Year 27 times and was awarded the prestigious National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame's Chris Schenkel Award. He was also awarded with the Indiana University Bicentennial Award in 2019 in recognition for his enormous contributions to Indiana University and IU Athletics. He was induced into the IU Athletic Hall of Fame in the fall of 2022.
