IUXC completes Loyola Lakefront Invitational

CHICAGO, Ill – Indiana's men's cross country team finished sixth overall while the women finished ninth at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Friday at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course.
The Indiana women's started off the day with a ninth-place finish in the champion ship race. Junior Lily Myers lead the Hoosiers with her time of 20:46.54 (50th). Freshman Ava Jarrell (75th, 21:13.65) and senior Joey Rastrellli (78th, 21:14.5) followed behind, along with senior Claire Overfelt (89th) and junior Katelyn Winton (92nd) to round out the top five Hoosiers. Michaela Quinn (22:20.71), Mary Eubank (22:23.63), and Alayna Todnem (22:24.95) rounded out the attached runners for Indiana.
The open race saw two additional Hoosiers competing this morning. Sophomores Maddie Rocchio (23:44.09) and Ellia Hayes (23:53.21) each finished 25th and 28th, respectively.
Head coach Erice Heins said that he is "really proud of how Dylon (Nalley) continues to push himself up front in these high level races." Sophomore Dylon Nalley continues to show improvements this season, finishing 10th in a personal best time of 23:39.97. Junior Garrett Hicks (24:53.55), Caden Click (25:38.39), Ahmed Saleh (25:42.66), and Nolan Satterfield (27:16.04 rounded out the top five runners for the Hoosiers.
