Hi’ilani Williams Crowned Big Ten Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Freshman Hi'ilani Williams was awarded Big Ten Player of the Week after her stand-out performance at the 2025 Hoosier Classic tournament.

A native from Oro Valley, Ariz., Williams was crowned the winner of flight 1 after defeating a contender from Louisville (6-4), going undefeated in singles play during her home-meet debut as a Hoosier. Additionally, she secured wins against an opponent from Butler (6-2,6-1) and in an earlier Louisville matchup (7-5, 7-5).

Throughout the weekend, Williams notched two doubles wins alongside senior Nicole Teodosescu, defeating opponents from NIU (6-3) and Butler (6-1).

Williams is the first Big Ten Player of the Week for Indiana Women's Tennis since Madison Appel (Jan. 22, 2019)
