• The Indiana men's basketball team (15-11, 6-9 B1G) dropped a 72-68 contest against UCLA (19-7, 10-5 B1G) on Friday, Feb. 14, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The game was the first played between the two programs in Bloomington since Dec. 29, 1956.
• For the third straight contest, IU coughed up fewer than 10 turnovers. The stretch is the longest by a Hoosier team since Jan. 20-26, 2022 (3 games).
• Senior forward Luke Goode paced the Hoosier attack with 16 points (14 in the second half) on 6-of-13 shooting from the floor. He matched his season high with seven rebounds (vs. USC on Jan. 8. 2025) and added three steals.
• Goode has recorded at least one steal in five straight games, including seven over his last two outings.
• The Illinois transfer has averaged 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game as a starter (10 games) and shot 43.9% (25-of-57) from the 3-point line.
• Sophomore forward Mackenzie Mgbako played through a first-half ankle injury to score 14 points and grab four rebounds. Over his last seven contests, the Gladstone, N.J., native has posted 16.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
• Junior forward Malik Reneau added 14 points, three rebounds, and two assists. The 6-9 big has produced 16.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per night in his last three appearances.
• Fifth-year senior guard Trey Galloway chipped in five points, six rebounds, and six assists in his 80th career start. He has handed out 105 assists this season, giving him 100-plus assists in consecutive seasons.
• Sixth-year senior center Oumar Ballo put together nine points, five rebounds, one steal, and one block in 26 minutes.
• Redshirt sophomore guard Myles Rice recorded five points, one rebound, and on assists in 24 minutes off the bench.
• Fifth-year senior guard Anthony Leal collected two points, two rebounds, and three steals. He has recorded three straight multi-steal games. The game marked the 10th start of Leal's career.
• Sophomore guard Kanaan Carlyle added a 3-pointer in his first appearance since Jan. 26 (vs. Maryland).
• Freshman wing Bryson Tucker saw five minutes off the bench.
• Indiana will return to the court against in-state rival Purdue on Sunday, Feb. 23, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The game will air at 1:30 p.m. ET with a national broadcast on CBS.
