Home Opener Canceled Due to Weather

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The scheduled home opener (Feb. 19) for the Indiana Baseball team has been canceled due to inclement weather and cold temperatures. The contest against Purdue Fort Wayne is currently not set to be rescheduled to a later date.
IU will now turn its attention to this weekend's affairs in Cary, North Carolina against Northwestern (Feb. 21), Fordham (Feb. 22) and Harvard (Feb. 23). The Hoosiers will look to pick up their first win on Friday evening.
The new date for the home opener at Bart Kaufman Field is now scheduled for next Tuesday (Feb. 25) against Xavier. Admission for fans will be free. That game is set for a 4:00 p.m. first pitch in Bloomington.
