Midweek Contest Moved to Wednesday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The home opener at Bart Kaufman Field, originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 25th, has been moved to Wednesday (Feb. 26) afternoon at 2:00 p.m. With weather set to hit the Bloomington area on Wednesday evening, IU will play the contest against Xavier two hours earlier.
The Hoosiers are coming off an extended weekend in Cary, North Carolina, prompting the schedule change. There is also a men's basketball game that same evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. After the game against Xavier, IU will head to DeLand, Florida to play two games against Stetson and two games against Mount St. Mary's.
IU is coming off of a three-game weekend sweep at the USA Baseball Complex. Redshirt sophomore center fielder Korbyn Dickerson and redshirt sophomore designated hitter Joey Brenczewski combined for 16 hits, 15 runs and 12 RBIs in the three victories.
Admission for Wednesday's game at Bart Kaufman Field is free. The game will be carried on B1G+ for those unable to attend.
