Senior Brianna Copeland set the tone for Indiana, going 5-for-5 from the plate with seven RBI and four runs scored. All of which tied single-game program records.
Indiana's season record now stands at 11-3.

KEY MOMENTS
• Indiana opened the scoring with a double off the center field wall from Sydni Burko which scored Peyton Drummond and Aly VanBrandt to put Indiana up 2-0 in the top of the second inning.
• Melina Wilkison's double in the top of the second got another duo of Hoosiers to home plate to make it 4-0.
• In the very next at bat, Brianna Copeland ripped a single past the shortstop which brought Wilkison and Cassidy Kettleman to bring the Indiana lead to 6-0.
• The Hoosiers followed up on their 8-run inning in the second with a 6-run inning in the third which included doubles from Copeland, Avery Parker and Kinsey Mitchell to put Indiana up 14-0 through three frames.
• Indiana continued to do damage in the fifth inning with Wilkison tripling and Copleand hitting a two-run bomb to dead center in the next at bat to bring the lead to 17-0.
• The Hoosiers would add on five more runs in the remainder of the game to make it a 22-run advantage.
• Lafayette threatened with two runners on in the bottom of the fifth, but the Indiana defense stranded them to secure the shutout.
NOTABLES
• Copeland tied three single-game program records with hits (5), RBI (7) and runs scored (4).
• Copeland is the first Hoosier to have five hits in a game since 1986, and the third in program history, the first to have seven RBI since 2015 and the third in program history and the first to score four runs since 2023 and the 15th ever.
• This was the sixth-most runs Indiana has scored in a single game ever and most since March 24, 2017, when the Hoosiers scored 23 against Rutgers.
• Three different Hoosiers recorded three or more hits: Copeland (5), Wilkison (3) and Mitchell (3).
• Four Hoosiers had three or more RBI: Copeland (7), Wilkison (3), Mitchell (3) and Burko (3).
