No. 12 Indiana Collects Two More Wins At Bruno Classic

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 12 Indiana water polo team (9-0) added two more wins to its early season tally as it prevailed over Harvard (14-10) and Wanger (16-11) at Blodgett Pool.

KEY MOMENTS VS. HARVARD
- The Hoosiers and Crimson went goal-for-goal in the opening quarter as junior Nicole Tyner gave Indiana the lead with 53 ticks remaining, 4-3. Harvard outscored the Hoosiers in the second, 3-1, and took a two-goal lead into the break.
- Senior Sophia Sollie was able to get her team on the board early in the third as she combined with senior Portia Sasser to tie the game at 7-all with 7:01 remaining. It was part of a four goals that went unanswered in the third for IU who made its lead 10-7.
- Junior Louisa Downes and sophomore Grace Klingler combined in the fourth with 3:42 remaining to keep the lead at three as Indiana closed out the game in the final minute with scores from senior Olivia Stark to seal the effort.
KEY MOMENTS VS. WAGNER
- Indiana jumped out to a 5-1 lead as three different Hoosiers scored in the frame including a pair by Sollie.
- Klinger got her team on the board in the second with just over five minutes left, Sollie notched the hat trick to push the lead to 9-3 at halftime.
- Junor Savannah Batchelor and Sollie were the lone goal scorers in the third quarter for IU as both teams added five goals in the fourth quarter as Indiana walked away with a 16-11 win.
NOTES
- Downes scored a career-high five goals in the win over Harvard. Stark also added a hat trick.
- Stark and Kidd led against the Crimson with two assists each while Klingler picked up a team-high five steals.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Audrey Cox saw time in the cage against Harvard, racking up five saves and a pair of steals
- Sollie led the way against the Seahawks with five goals to tie her season-high while Kidd added four.
- Kidd tallied nine total points against Wagner, adding a team-high five assists. Tyner added three dishes and Cox recorded a team-high four steals.
- On the day, Indiana went 6-2 in sprints with five wins for Kidd on the day.
