Indiana vs. Oregon
Big Ten Tournament – Second Round
March 13, 2025
• The Indiana men's basketball team (19-13) fell to #23/RV Oregon (24-8) 72-59 in the second round of the 2025 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 13th at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
• IU outrebounded Oregon 35-34 and had more assists – 22-16 – on the afternoon. The Hoosiers closed within two points at the under-eight timeout but the Ducks closed the game on a 16-5 run.
• Fifth-year senior guard Trey Galloway had 15 points and nine assists. He also grabbed four rebounds while playing a team-high 35 minutes.
• This was his ninth career game with at least eight assists. It was the fifth time this season that Galloway has reached the eight-assist threshold. He's now done it in three of the past six games.
• With the nine assists against Oregon, Galloway moved into seventh in program history with 433 helpers. He passed Randy Wittman (1979-83) on IU's all-time program list.
• Thursday's game was the sixth time that Galloway had at least 15 points and five assists in a contest this year.
• Junior forward Malik Reneau led the Hoosiers with 19 points on 8-for-15 shooting. He grabbed three rebounds and added one assist.
• This was 32nd time in Reneau's career that he's reached the 15-point threshold for the Hoosiers. Since February, Reneau's had at least 15 points on six different occasions.
• Sophomore forward Mackenzie Mgbako scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds. It was his 19th game of the season scoring in double figures.
• Sixth-year senior center Oumar Ballo had eight points and eight rebounds.
• Fifth-year senior guard Anthony Leal put up four points and grabbed eight rebounds. His eight rebounds matched a career high that he set just last Saturday (March 8th) against Ohio State.
• Senior forward Luke Goode scored one point and had three rebounds and two assists
• Redshirt sophomore guard Myles Rice had five assists and one rebound.
• Sophomore guard Kanaan Carlyle played six minutes
• Indiana will await its postseason fate on Selection Sunday.
