BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – MLB Pipeline released its top 30 prospects in each organization as teams began the ramp up for the beginning of baseball season in April. Five former Hoosiers found themselves on the top-30 list in their respective organizations before the start of the 2025 MLB season.
Former shutdown reliever Craig Yoho is the closest to breaking through with his major league club. The Brewers Co-Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2024 has worked six scoreless innings in Spring Training with 10 strikeouts. According to MLB Pipeline, he is the No. 19 prospect with the Brewers but could find himself into the Milwaukee bullpen early in the year.
Jack Perkins, who pitched for IU in 2022, enjoyed a fantastic season in the A's organization last year. He had a 4-1 record and a 2.96 earned run average in 15 starts with Double-A Midland. Perkins has moved up to the No. 10 prospect in the organization and is likely to pitch at Triple-A Las Vegas sometime this season.
Luke Sinnard (No. 21 – Atlanta), Connor Foley (No. 23 – Arizona) and Carter Mathison (No. 26 – Philadelphia) were all drafted in 2024 and are entering their first full years of professional baseball. All three players were picked in the top-5 rounds of last year's MLB Draft.
