Volleyball Season Opens with 2025 Big Ten Media Days

CHICAGO, Ill. – For the fourth-straight year, Big Ten volleyball season will begin in Chicago. The conference office announced, on April 23rd (Wednesday), that Big Ten Volleyball Media Days will take place on July 28th and 29th at the network studios.
Head coach Steve Aird and two select student athletes will speak on Monday, July 28th, taking part in TV interviews, social media hits, press conferences and network interviews. After its debut in 2022, the Big Ten is still the only conference with a volleyball specific in-person media days.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 15-15 season that culminated with eight Big Ten wins. Over the past three years, IU has won 28 matches in conference play – the most in a three-year span since 1998-2000. The Hoosiers also have a 21-7 record at Wilkinson Hall in the last two years.
IU returns one of the most dangerous duos in the league on offense. Outside hitter Candela Alonso-Corcelles and opposite hitter Avry Tatum combined for 757 kills last season and both averaged over 3.30 kills per set. They are joined by middle blockers Madi Sell and Ava Vickers as returning starters.
