No. 12 Indiana Falls In MPSF Opener To No. 2 USC

LOS ANGELES– 7-seed Indiana couldn't match a strong offensive effort from 2-seed USC as it fell 20-5 in the opening game at the MPSF Tournament at Spieker Aquatic Center on the campus of UCLA.

KEY MOMENTS

Junior Grace Klingler got Indiana on the board late in the first on a 6-on-5 opportunity as USC had already built up a 5-goal lead. Senior Skylar Kidd added one more in the frame as the Trojans led 7-2.
The Hoosiers were scoreless in the second as the Trojans extend its lead to 12-2 at the break.
Senior Sophia Sollie connected in the third quarter while Klingler completed a hat trick in the fourth quarter to lead the Hoosiers.

NOTES

The Hoosiers moved to 17-11 overall.
Klingler's hat trick was the third of the season and her 11^th multi-goal game of the season.
Klingler and junior Louisa Downes each had two steals.
Senior Portia Sasser led Indiana with two assists.

The Hoosiers will face either 2-seed Stanford or 6-seed Arizona State in the elimination game on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.
