BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 10 Indiana dropped a 10-8 decision to No. 15 San Jose State in MPSF action at Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center on Saturday.

KEY MOMENTS

The Spartans (13-10, 2-3 MPSF) were the first to score in the first, but Indiana quickly answered with two goals from senior Skylar Kidd. Senior Sophia Sollie added another goal for the Hoosiers (16-8, 0-5 MPSF) with under 30 seconds left to push the lead to 3-1.
San Jose State attempted to take back the lead scoring two back-to-back goals, but junior goalie Jasmine Higgs made five saves in the net to shut down the Spartan offense.
Indiana put in two goals in the last two minutes of the half to take back a two-point lead (5-3).
After a goal from Grace Klinger, the Spartans clawed back to bring the lead within one (7-6) adding three goals.
SJSU came out strong in the final quarter, scoring four goals to bring the final score to 10-7, the Hoosier defense put up a good fight with four steals.

NOTES

Six Hoosiers had points on the board, including Kidd and Klinger leading the team with two each.
Klingler added a team-high five steals.
Senior Grace Hathaway and junior Louisa Downes had two assists each.
Higgs had nine saves in the cage.
