Higgs Named MPSF Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana water polo senior goalie Jasmine Higgs was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week after guiding her team to a pair of Top 10 wins on opening weekend.
The Sydney, Australia native racked up 24 saves, two assists and a goal in wins over host No. 7 Fresno State and No. 8 UC Irvine at Polopalooza on Saturday and Sunday. She pulled in nine saves in the win over the Bulldogs and had a goal and assist. In IU's first win over UCI since 2004, Higgs was impressive in cage with 15 saves and an assist.
No. 10 Indiana is back in action this weekend, Jan. 24-26, at the Bruno Invite hosted by Brown in Providence, R.I.
