Indiana Basketball Game Notes – Game 21 vs. No. 12/12 Purdue

Opening Tip
• Indiana University returns to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to host in-state rival Purdue. Tip is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Jan. 27, on Peacock. John Fanta (PxP), Robbie Hummel (Analyst), and Caroline Pineda (Sideline) will handle broadcast duties.
• Purdue (17-3, 7-2 B1G) is under the direction of 21st-year head coach Matt Painter, the second-longest tenured head coach in the Big Ten behind Michigan State's Tom Izzo (31 years). The Boilermakers will be ranked entering the rivalry game for the 10th-straight matchup.
• Purdue is led by a trio of fourth-year seniors. All-American guard Braden Smith has averaged 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 9.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.

Twenty-Point Trio
• In the 82-59 Indiana victory at Rutgers on Friday, Jan. 23, the Hoosier trio of fifth-year senior guard Lamar Wilkerson (27 points), junior guard Nick Dorn (23), and redshirt senior forward Tucker DeVries (22) tallied 72 points on 15-of-33 (45.5%) shooting from the 3-point line.
• The three-headed scoring monster recorded 87.8% of the Hoosier points in the win and became the first set of teammates to each score 20-plus points in four seasons.
• Trayce Jackson-Davis (31 points), Miller Kopp (28), and Parker Stewart (20) all reached the 20-point threshold in a double-overtime setback at Syracuse on Nov. 30, 2021.
• Robert Johnson (28 points), Juwan Morgan (20), and Justin Smith (20) were the last group to accomplish the feat in a conference game when they combined for 68 points at Minnesota on Jan. 6, 2018.
Dorn's Emergence
• Junior guard Nick Dorn has averaged 8.3 points per game on 37-of-82 (45.1%) shooting from the 3-point line in 18 appearances this season.
• The Elon transfer earned his first start as a Hoosier at Rutgers on Jan. 23. He responded with a season-high 23 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the 3-point line.
• In seven games with 20-plus minutes played, Dorn has averaged 11.7 points and shot 18-of-40 (45.0%) from behind the arc.
• Dorn has made at least three 3-point field goals in six contests. The Hoosiers are 4-2 and the veteran guard has averaged 15.3 points in those games.
