Alessandra Teodosescu Named To 2026 Big Ten Player To Watch List

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Freshman Alessandra Teodosescu has been named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list ahead of the start of the spring 2026 season.
Teodosescu, who hails from Ventimiglia, Italy, was ranked as high ast No. 30 in the world by the International Tennis Federation and has played in three junior major slams - Wimbledon, Roland Garros and the US Open. In the fall, Teodosescu qualified for the ITA All-American Championships. She also appeared as a J500 Criciuma finalist and was a W2 Santa Margherita di pula doubles champion.
The Hoosiers officially kick off their spring season on Jan. 23 against Butler at the IU Tennis Center.
