Football Postseason Awards Wrap
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After one of the most historic seasons in college football history, the Indiana football program has seen numerous student-athletes and coaches honored from national awards and publications. The program's first football national title also netted a number of team awards that arrived on campus.

Along with team success comes recognition for those that work the sidelines and behind the scenes. Head coach Curt Cignetti is the first FBS coach to win consecutive national coach of the year awards from the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Associated Press, ESPN Home Depot, The Sporting News and Walter Camp Foundation. Bryant Haines was the first IU assistant coach to bring home the Broyles Award.

From Indiana’s first Heisman Trophy winner to a program-record for All-America selections, the 2025 season netted awards for a number of contributors on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Both quarterback Fernando Mendoza and offensive lineman Carter Smith earned consensus All-America selection to highlight a group of nine that earned All-America honors from at least one publication.
