LOS ANGELES – No. 8 Indiana water polo couldn't keep up with No. 3 USC as it fell 16-6 at Uytengsu Aquatics Center.

KEY MOMENTS
- USC had a lead from the jump, as Indiana (12-3, 0-2 MPSF) kept within striking distance in the first with a goal from senior Grace Klingler to make it a 3-1 deficit. Senior Savannah batchelor followed up with a goal of her own but the Trojans scored four unanswered to end the first eight minutes.
- The Hoosiers were held scoreless in the second as the deficit grew to 11-2 at the break.
- In the second half, Indiana was outscored by just one, but the USC lead had already been built up to take the 16-6 win.
NOTES
- Six different Hoosiers scored in the effort as senior Louisa Downes, freshman Audrina Kang and junior Nancy Baylor-Sefchick all added goals. Senior goalie Jasmine Higgs was also creditd with a goal int eh effort.
- Higgs added siz saves in goal in the outing.
- Senior Nicole Tyner added a season-high five steals. She also finished with a team-high two assist.
