Connor Barket Signs with Indiana Wrestling

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana Wrestling head coach Angel Escobedo announced the signing of Connor Barket on Tuesday (April 14).
Barket, a transfer from Duke comes to Indiana after spending four years with the Blue Devils.
At Duke, he wrestled primarily at heavyweight with a handful of matches at 197 lbs. throughout his four years in Durham and compiled a 62-40 overall record.
Barket is a two-time NCAA Qualifier, qualifying as the No. 27 Seed at 285 lbs. in 2025 and was the No. 24 Seed at 285 lbs. in 2026.
In 2026, Barket went 1-2 at the tournament, picking up a 9-1 major decision win over No. 25 Alex Semenko (Brown) on the backside of the bracket.
He finished on the podium twice in the ACC Championships, taking fifth place in back-to-back years in 2025 and 2026.
Barket is returning to his home state as his hometown is West Lafayette, Ind. He was a four-year letterwinner in wrestling and football at West Lafayette High School. He was an Indiana state finalist as a senior in 2022 and was a three-time regional champion as well as a 2022 semi-state champion.
At West Lafayette, he went 150-14 in his career and holds the single-season takedown record of 147 in 2022. He was the Indiana State Wrestling Association Triple Crown winner and a USA Wrestling Folkstyle All-American as a junior.
