Orlando Cruz Takes Silver at U23 Pan American Championships

LIMA, Peru –––– Indiana Wrestling's Orlando Cruz competed and became a silver medalist in the U23 Pan-American Championships on Thursday (June 11).
Cruz competed in the Freestyle division at 79 kg for Puerto Rico. After winning his opening couple matches, Cruz defeated Dilan Fuentes Silva (Chile) in the semifinals to advance to the championship bout.
He faced Daschle Lamer (USA) in the finals, but lost the match. Despite the loss, Cruz still went home on the podium and with a silver medal.
