Ten Hoosiers Feature in U.S. National Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Ten athletes currently training with the Indiana swimming and diving program feature in the 2026-27 U.S. National Team, USA Swimming announced on Tuesday (Sept. 1).

Seven men and three women from the IU program were listed in the respective rosters. The men's roster includes Alexei Avakov, Josh Bey, Finn Brooks, Noah Cakir, American record holder Van Mathias, Owen McDonald and Aaron Shackell, while the women's team lists Liberty Clark, Anna Peplowski and Alex Shackell.

Bey, Cakir and Clark are first-time national team inclusions after successful freshman seasons at Indiana.
