Landau Advances to Singles Round of 16 at ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Indiana men's tennis' Sam Landau advanced to the singles Round of 16 at the ITA All-American Championships on Thursday. Landau and Braeden Gelletich also reached the Round of 16 in doubles.
Landau rallied past South Carolina's Paul Barbier Gazeu, 2-6, 6-2, 6-0, before defeating NC State's Toby Kodat, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6, in the Round of 32 on Thursday. He will face Clemson's Viktor Markov in the singles Round of 16 on Friday.
In doubles qualifying, Landau and Gelletich defeated Oklahoma State's Nicholas Kobelt and Sydney Zick, 6-1, 7-5, followed by Florida's Ty Host and Henry Jefferson, 7-6 (6), 6-3. The Hoosier duo then beat Arizona's Sasha Rozin and Gilb Sekachov, 6-4, 6-3 in the main draw before falling to Ohio State's Nikita Filin and Brandon Carpico, 6-3, 6-2, in Thursday's Round of 16.
