2019-20: Finished with an overall record of 5-7 in singles…10-7 record in doubles…5-3 in dual match doubles playing the majority of the season at No. 3 doubles with Patrick Fletchall.

2018-19 (JUNIOR): Finished with a 10-1 overall singles record and 2-0 mark in dual play...wins came at the No. 5 spot against Toledo and No. 6 position against Saint Louis...had four doubles wins, two inside the Big Ten...went 1-0 at No. 1 doubles (vs. Michigan State).

2017-18 (SOPHOMORE): Had a 7-3 record in doubles...paired with Antonio Cembellin, beat Michigan State in doubles...won four singles matches in the fall.

2016-17 (FRESHMAN): Began his IU career with a 6-6 singles record... 2-0 in dual singles matches... finished season with three straight singles wins... went 7-4 in doubles play with 2-0 dual match record.

PREP: Payam was the No. 1 ranked player in the boys 18s Mid Atlantic Section and a five- star recruit. He reached as high as No. 37 on TennisRecruiting.net and was the Silver Ball Doubles winner at the 2015 Winter Nationals.
