Played in every tournament during the year (31 stroke play rounds, four match play rounds) … went 1-3 at the Big Ten Match Play Championship … finished the year with a scoring average of 75.52 … best finish was a T13 at the Hoosier Collegiate with a score of 146 (74-71) … other Top 25 finish came at the Hoosier Invitational, where he carded a score of 148 (72-76) to tie for 16th … earned a T41 finish at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational with a score of 223 (77-72-74) … best 54-hole score came at the Loyola Intercollegiate, where his 218 (70-77-71) was good for a tie for 38th … closed out his career with a T55 finish at the Big Ten Championship and a score of 232 (78-76-78) … earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

Played in all 12 tournaments on the season, with a total of 34 stroke play rounds ... went 3-1 at the Big Ten Match Play Championship ... his 74.71 scoring average was the second-best on the team ... carded 21 rounds of 75 or better ... finished inside the Top 25 on six occasions, topped by a T9 showing at the NYX Hoosier Invitational ... opened the season with a T24 finish at the Northern Intercollegiate ... tied for 20th at the Pinetree Intercollegiate ... after his T9 showing at the NYX Hoosier Invitational in April, followed it up with a T16 finish at the Boilermaker Invitational the next week ... earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

Kollin comes to Indiana from North Farmington High School, where he won the 2011 Michigan Division I Individual State Championship ... also named to the 2011 Michigan All-State Super Team, as well as the all-city, all-county, and all-division teams ... had success on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) circuit, finishing in the top-10 in each of his four 2011 events ... He posted fourth place finishes at the AJGA Coca-Cola Championships and the AJGA Randy Wise ... at the age of 15, Kollin became the youngest men's Club Champion at his home course, Twin Beach Country Club, in West Bloomfield, Mich ... set the course record at Twin Beach CC, firing a 64 that included a double bogey on the 16th hole ... played five years of travel baseball before concentrating on golf ... in his last year, he was the starting catcher for the No. 5 ranked team in Michigan, the Bloomfield Sting ... ranked No. 14 in the class of 2012 by Golfweek and No. 50 by the Junior Golf Scoreboard ... the son of Jimmy and Sheryll Kollin ... mother is a cancer survivor and Max raises money and awareness for breast cancer charities ... he also has one sister, Sophie, who plays travel soccer and high school golf, qualifying for the 2011 Michigan State Finals.
