Rayner played in 43 games with 20 starts during his career. He tallied 40 tackles, 22 solo, with four sacks (22 yards), 11.5 tackles for loss (35 yards), one fumble recovery and five pass breakups.

2015 Honors: Earned the team’s Harold Mauro “Loyalty to IU Football” Award.

2015 (Senior): Made 11 starts and appeared in all 13 games … collected 15 tackles, three for loss, one fumble recovery and two pass breakups … matched a career-high with four stops in addition to a half-TFL in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl against Duke … recovered the first fumble of his career at No. 7 Michigan State … posted 1.5 tackles for loss at Penn State and one in the win at Maryland ... four-time game captain.

2014 (Junior): Started seven times and appeared in all 12 games ... made 12 tackles with one sack (5 yards), 2.5 tackles for loss (10 yards) and two quarterback hurries ... collected a career-high four stops with one QBH at Bowling Green ... recorded his sack in the North Texas win ... added one TFL and one quarterback hurry at Iowa.

2013 (Sophomore): Played in 11 games with starts against Indiana State and at No. 4 Ohio State ... recorded nine tackles with two sacks (15 yards) and four tackles for loss (17 yards) ... posted one sack and one TFL in the ISU win and vs. Navy ... collected two stops for loss in the Illinois victory.

2012 (Freshman): Appeared in seven games ... made four tackles with one sack, two tackles for loss and three pass breakups ... collected one sack with two PBUs against Michigan State ... added one TFL in the Massachusetts win.

2011: Redshirted the 2011 season.
